It has been a lot of fun making cakes over the last year and a half, but the time has come to evaluate whether or not the time and effort I put into them is worth it.

As most of you know, I do have a day job and cakes were starting to take too much time away from my family. The final straw was when my daughter came into the kitchen and said, “Daddy, do like making cakes more than us? You’re always talking about or working on cake stuff and you don’t get to spend as much time with us.”

This doesn't mean that CakeDude is dead - just going on an extended hiatus. I will not be doing any cakes until after the New Year.

After that, If you want a cake, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do.
